War on Vandals

On a recent walk about  i was shown the results of some lout/louts who  decided  the night previously to attack residents cars smashing windows and kicking off wing mirrors, these acts of mindless criminal damage must be challenged. Residents dont believe that these actions can be stopped, but they can ,by community action, and with the support of Reddish’s three Labour Councillors, and Labour MP Andrew Gwynne, we are now organising tenants and residents together to combat this criminal behaviour.Together with local residents we are going to meet to set up an action plan to tackle these criminals, then working with the police, youth offending teams and other agencies we intend to end this mindless criminal damage, its time now to make the yobs feel afraid

South Reddish Park

The very latest park to have the honour of flying the Green Flag is our own South Reddish Park, who following a rigorous inspection have been granted the parks highest honour. This has been due to the efforts  of a top class parks team and a committed band of volunteer’s the ‘Friends of South Reddish Park’

To achieve the Green Flag Award, parks must meet stringent criteria, showing that they are welcoming, safe and well maintained, managed in a sustainable way and have strong involvement from the local community.

Activities at the park are on the increase, important bowls tournaments are to take place on the parks bowling green. A new children’s play areas opened by Andrew Gwynne MP for Denton and Reddish. The fabulous fun day organised by the ‘friends of South Reddish Park’ will take place on Saturday 9th August
